In a study according to the Cornell Food & Brand Lab involving more than 700
cafeteria diners, the mere presence of food like bananas led to about 1/3 of the
participants choosing healthier meals.  Even if they didn't choose
it.  So called trigger foods seemed to remind the subjects to eat more
nutritous foods.  So the tip is to put a bowl of fruit/veges on the
table.  It might help you to say "no" to the fries.
